Beeren-Gelee aus dem Thermomix

The berry season can never be long enough for you? Then this basic recipe for the Thermomix is just right for you. Whether fresh strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, currants or all of them together - we'll show you how to conjure up homemade fruit juice jelly from your harvest.

Ingredients for 8 glasses of 200 ml each

  • 2000g water
  • 1000 g berries
  • 500 g gelling sugar 3:1

that's how it works

Fill the mixing bowl with water and put the lid on without the mixing bowl.
Place the MixFino steam juicer attachment on the mixing bowl lid and insert the hose into a separate, heat-resistant container.

Put the berries in the Varoma, place it on the steam juicer attachment and put the Varoma lid on.

Start food processor: 50 minutes/Varoma/level 1

Stop the cooking process as soon as no more juice comes out of the hose. Then clean the mixing bowl.
Put the juice and the gelling sugar into the mixing bowl. Put on the splash guard (e.g. WUUFO from Wundermix ).
    Start food processor: 13 minutes/100°C/level 2
      Carry out gelling test.
Immediately pour into 8 hot-rinsed screw-top jars (approx. 200 ml), close and allow to cool.
It is best to serve jelly with fresh bread or rolls and store it in a cool, dry place.

          Carry out gelling test correctly

To check the gelling ability of your jam or jelly, put a teaspoon of the hot fruit mixture on a cold plate and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes. Then run your finger or a spoon over the mixture. If a skin forms and the mixture remains solid, the gelling has been successful. If the mixture still flows, you need to continue cooking it.
