Dumplings or dumplings are traditionally cooked in small bamboo steamers. But is it worth investing in such steamer baskets? If you have the Thermomix, well to be precise, if you have the Varoma – no.
TM5 – Makes 15 dumplings
Ingredients for the dough
- 125ml water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 250 g flour
Ingredients for the filling – minced meat
- 100g minced meat
- 1/2 glass of mongo bean seedlings, drain well
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Spices as desired : salt, pepper, cardamom
Ingredients for the filling – sheep cheese
- 1 pack of smoked ham
- 1 pack of sheep's cheese
Mix It – The dough
- Put the ingredients for the dough completely into the mixing bowl → 3 min. | dough stage
- Wrap the dough in foil and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour
Mix It – The filling
- Add the ingredients for the minced meat filling to the mixing bowl → 4 minutes | Level 2
- Dice the sheep's cheese and have the smoked ham ready
- Divide the dough into walnut-sized pieces and roll out the size of your palm with the RollPro
- Put a teaspoon of filling in the middle and close the pockets at the top
- Place in the Varoma (top with – bottom without cooking paper ) and pour 1 liter of water into the mixing bowl
- Close the mixing bowl and put the Varoma on → 40 min | Varoma level 1

Serve with mango chutney and soy sauce for dipping.
