INGREDIENTS
- 500 ml water
- 800 g asparagus
- 1 lump of sugar cubes
- 60 g Black Forest ham, sliced wafer-thin
- 20 g grated Emmental cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- a little paprika powder
- 6 small potatoes
INSTRUCTIONS
Peel the asparagus and cut off the woody ends. Pour 500 ml water, salt & sugar and the wine into the mixing bowl, place the peeled asparagus in the Varoma® and steam for approx. 20 minutes/Varoma®. In the meantime, boil the potatoes, peel and keep warm. Wrap two asparagus spears with a slice of Black Forest ham. Melt the butter slowly in a small pan. Place in a baking dish, pour over the melted butter and grated cheese and place briefly under the grill. (Cut the cheese into small pieces and place on top of the asparagus together with small flakes of butter). The cooked and peeled (still warm) potatoes can also be placed under the grill in the oven.
Serve hot!
