How do I ferment natural yogurt in the Thermomix?

Wie fermentiere ich Naturjoghurt im Thermomix? - Wundermix GmbH

Classic natural yogurt is clearly one of the most popular foods that can be found in the refrigerator at home. And because fermenting yogurt yourself with the Thermomix is very easy and also saves money, we'll show you how to do it here:

To prepare this recipe you need Simsafix - the practical multitool for the Thermomix TM6, TM6 and TM31.
The milk-yoghurt mixture must not be moved during fermentation so that the yoghurt can develop its creamy consistency.
Ingredients:
900g milk (at least 3.5% fat)
100g yogurt (not heat treated)
500g water
Note: The quantity can easily be halved depending on your needs.

Preparation in the Thermomix:
1) Add 500g water to the mixing bowl and insert Simsafix.
2) Weigh the milk and yoghurt into Simsafix and stir with a spoon until the yoghurt has completely dissolved.
3) Put on the mixing bowl lid and measuring cup and keep warm for 10 hours / 40 degrees / level 1 (fermentation mode on the TM6, alternatively set 6 x 99 minutes) so that the yoghurt cultures can multiply.
4) Enjoy yogurt or store in the refrigerator and use within a week.
Tip: If you want your yoghurt to last longer, heat the milk (without Simsafix) to 90° between steps 1 and 2, stirring occasionally, and only continue with step 2 once the temperature of the milk has dropped below 40° again.

Bon appetit!
