Today we have a recipe for you for a hearty ham bread!

Mmmhhhhh! How it smells!

The bread tastes particularly great when baked in a wooden baking frame. The wooden baking frames are made of solid beech wood and give the bread a great taste of its own, just like a wood-fired country loaf. Why not give it a try! You can find more great bread recipes in our baking books.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 g mild raw ham in pieces
  • 1 bunch parsley, coarsely chopped
  • 1 bunch chives, roughly chopped
  • 40 g yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 MB water
  • 500 g flour, type 405
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 20 g lard

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Put the ham, parsley and chives into the mixing bowl through the lid plug opening and chop for 10 seconds/speed setting 4 and decant. Add the yeast, sugar, water, flour, salt and lard to the mixing bowl and knead for 2 minutes/ knead setting. Approx. 20 seconds before the end of the time, mix in the ham and herb mixture. Shape the dough into a loaf or place in a mold, cut crosswise and brush with water. Leave to rise in the oven at 40°C for about 20 minutes and then bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Place a bowl of water in the oven.
