I can remember these small, soft, sweet things that I used to buy in the supermarket years ago, long before I became a hobby baker, and loved to eat them. They were called French rolls or something similar. Today, thanks to Thermomix, I make them myself. Best enjoyed while still warm...
TM5 - for 12 pieces
Ingredients for the dough
- 300 g flour
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 40 ml milk
- 40 ml sunflower oil
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 90 g sugar
- 100 g chocolate drops, baking stable
- 1 egg
Ingredients for spreading
- 1 egg or a little milk
Mix it
- Put all the ingredients for the dough except the chocolate chips into the mixing bowl and knead → 1 min | Dough setting
- Add the chocolate chips and stir in → 20 sec | anticlockwise | speed 2
- Mix the dough with the help of the DoughTwister onto a well-floured work surface, knead again briefly
- Shape into a roll
- Divide into 12 pieces and shape into balls
- Place the 12 rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. baking tray or place in a suitable mold and brush with the beaten egg
- Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes at 180 °C bake
