Perfect for your Halloween party: these spooky mummy cookies from the Thermomix are not only super tasty, but also easy to prepare! The crispy oat dough forms the ideal base for the spooky decoration. With white chocolate couverture, you can transform the cookies into little mummies that are guaranteed to provide gruesome fun. Whether for children or adults - these mummy cookies are a creative but simple eye-catcher on any Halloween buffet. 

 

Ingredients

  • 80 g almonds, whole
  • 130 g butter, in pieces
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 70 g wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

for the mummy decoration  

  • 75 g white chocolate coating, in pieces
  • Sugar eyes

And this is how it works  

Preheat the oven to 190° C fan and place the almonds in the mixing bowl.


Start the food processor: Chop for 10 seconds / speed 10 and then decant

Put the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg into the mixing bowl. 


Start the food processor: Mix for 15 seconds / speed 3 until creamy

Add the almonds, rolled oats, flour and baking powder to the butter mixture.


Start the food processor: Blend for 25 seconds / speed 4

Pour 1200 g water into the rinsed mixing bowl and Simsafix insert.


Chocolate coating in Simsafix Place the mixing bowl lid on without the measuring beaker.


Start the food processor: Heat for 30 minutes / 90 ° C / level 1

Using a teaspoon, place the dough in small heaps on the baking tray, leaving enough space between the cookies as they will spread.


Bake the cookies for 10 minutes on the middle shelf, remove and leave to cool.

Spread the melted chocolate coating over the cookies with a spoon and decorate with sugar eyes.

If you want to keep the oat cookies for longer, you can also freeze them - they will keep for up to three months and taste just like freshly baked once defrosted!
