Have you ever tried sweet tarte flambée? Wafer-thin and deliciously crispy?
Here's the perfect recipe for you! The dough can be baked super quickly in the Thermomix, in the KitchenAid or other food processors. You can also vary the topping according to your mood. This means that lovers of vegan or vegetarian cuisine will also get their money's worth.
Ingredients for the tarte flambée dough:
- 220 g water
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 400 g wheat flour type 550
- 30 g olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
Ingredients for the topping:
- 1 cup of crème fraîche
- 1 large apple
- sugar & cinnamon
Ingredients for the topping in the savory, classic version:
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 200 g ham cubes
- 200 g grated Gouda cheese
- spring onions
Preparation:
1. Put the water, yeast, flour, oil and salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 3 minutes on the dough setting.
2. Then leave the dough to rise for 1 hour.
3. Roll out half of the dough on a pizza stone or baking tray and spread with sour cream.
4. Sprinkle the grated apple on top of the dough and sweeten with sugar and cinnamon.
5. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees O/U and bake for 20-25 minutes.
For the savory version take the other half of the dough and spread the crème fraîche, e.g. with our WunderCard on the dough. Then spread the grated cheese, diced ham and finally the spring onions evenly on top. Bake the pastry in the oven at O/U for 20-25 minutes.
