You may also have wondered what would be the perfect accompaniment to the dumplings. For me it was clear: something for dipping, that would be great. Sweet-sour-spicy-fruity: a taste experience that is hard to put into words, but that's exactly what my mango chutney tasted like. Ideal for dipping the dumplings in and giving them a nice orange tinge.
TM5 - For 2 glasses
Ingredients:
- 2 chilies
- 2-3 cm ginger, peeled
- 1 ripe mango
- 100g brown sugar
- 2 geh. teaspoon cornflour
- juice of 1 lime
- 100ml water
- 70g raisins
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
Mix It
- Wash, deseed and roughly chop the chilies
- Roughly chop the ginger
- Place the chillies, ginger and 50g sugar in the blender jug → 10 sec | speed 6
- Peel and roughly chop the mango. Add to the ginger/chilli/sugar mixture and chop → 5 sec | speed 5
- Add the remaining ingredients and cook (uncovered) → 10 min. | level 1 | 100 degrees
- Chop the chutney further as required
