INGREDIENTS
- 1 cube of yeast, fresh
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp beetroot
- 500 ml buttermilk
- 250 wholemeal wheat flour
- 140 g rye meal
- 140 g wheat meal
- 70 g sesame seeds
- 70 g linseed
- 50 g sunflower seeds
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 150 °C O/U. Put the yeast, salt, beetroot and 100 ml buttermilk into the mixing bowl and heat for 2 minutes/37 °C/speed setting 2. Add the remaining ingredients and knead for 3 minutes/bread setting. Pour the dough into the greased loaf tin and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Then cover with aluminum foil and bake for a further 2 hrs. 15 min. Turn off the oven and remove the bread after 1/2 hour and leave to cool on a cooling rack.
