Bread is often the first choice, and not just for breakfast or dinner. We also reach for it when we need it quickly. So that it doesn't get boring, it's not just the toppings that vary, there are also all kinds of recipes for bread.
Today's #recipe of the week features a moist and fluffy carrot bread, the preparation of which is described in the #Thermomix® is child's play. Let us know in the comments how you liked it.
Best regards, your #Landhaus team.
Preparation: 5-10 minutes
Cooking time: 70-75 minutes
Waiting time: 70 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 500 ml hot water
- 150 g carrots raw and peeled
- 1 cube of yeast or 1.5 sachets of dry yeast
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar
- 800 g spelt flour type 630
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 4 tbsp oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Put the water and carrots into the blender jug and mix for 20 seconds/speed setting 8.
Add the yeast, honey, spelt flour, salt and cumin and process for 3 minutes on the grain setting.
Open the lid and pour in 4 tablespoons of oil around the edge. Now mix again for 30 seconds/bread setting.
Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and leave to rise in a warm place for 60 minutes. After half the time, knead the dough once.
Once it has risen, shape the dough into a round or long shape on the work surface and place on an oven rack lined with cling film or baking paper.
Leave the dough to rest for another 10 minutes. Shape the bread and place in the hot oven. (Or place the dough in a Tupper Ultra pan sprinkled with flour and bake with the lid on for 60 minutes, then turn out and finish baking on the oven rack for 15 minutes). Bake at 175°C for approx. 70-75 mins.
